Too often as a HR Consultants, we see businesses that have grown organically and have no HR structure in place.
Taking this approach leaves you and your business exposed for claims later down the track. Make sure at a minimum you have contracts of employment and a few essential policies in place. We always recommend that your contracts speak in simple English and not “lawyer speak” because if you can’t understand it, neither will your employees. We recently had a client whose employee tried to claim 5 years of unpaid leave loading and guess what?
