Hi, I’m Lauren.
I’m an HR Consultant at HR Gurus, and I’ve spent more than 18 years working across all facets of HR, recruitment and people & culture in some seriously diverse workplaces.
My career has taken me through organisations and industries including Mantra Group, Scania, Fusion Retail Brands, Foxtel and Floridia Cheese where most recently I worked as a People & Culture Manager.
I’ve worked across pretty much the full HR spectrum – employee and industrial relations, recruitment, performance management, policies, restructures and redundancies, remuneration, engagement, and HR systems. I’ve also recruited everyone from blue- and white-collar, graduates, apprentices through to highly specialised technical and professional roles.
That breadth of experience means I’m very practical in the way I approach HR. I like understanding what’s really happening, ask a lot of questions, cut through the BS and help managers work out what they actually need to do next.
I’m also a bit of a process nerd. I’ve worked on major HR system implementations, process improvement and change projects throughout my career, so if there’s a smarter or simpler way of doing something, I’m probably going to find it.
For me, great HR is about balancing the people side with what the business actually needs – giving managers clear, practical advice and the confidence to deal with the tricky stuff properly.

- Extensive experience in ER/IR, performance management, recruitment, restructures, organisational change and HR systems
