We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification or voice control, and people with low vision, colour blindness, or cognitive or motion sensitivities.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the internationally recognised standard for accessible websites. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we keep it in mind as the site grows. If something has slipped through, we want to hear about it.
What we have worked on
- We have checked text and background colours for contrast, including text on coloured panels and over images.
- The site is designed to be used with a keyboard alone. A visible outline shows where you are, and a “Skip to content” link lets you jump past the menu.
- We have set out headings and page regions in a logical order, to help screen reader users move around each page.
- We add text descriptions to images that carry meaning, and hide decorative images from screen readers.
- The scrolling client logos can be paused. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site is set up to stop the logos scrolling and switch off other animations.
- Links that open in a new tab are marked as doing so.
- Videos are set to load only when you press play.
Parts we do not fully control
Some parts of the site come from other providers. We choose them with accessibility in mind, but we cannot change how they are built:
- Google reviews, shown through Trustindex
- Enquiry and sign-up forms, provided by Zoho
- Client videos, which play from YouTube with YouTube’s own captions
- The chat assistant, provided by Sophiie
Some older articles and downloadable PDF guides may not meet the standard in full. If you need any of them in another format, ask us.
Tell us if something does not work
If you have trouble using any part of this website, or need information in a different format, please let us know. Tell us which page you were on and what happened, and we will work with you to get you what you need.
