I’m the Commercial Director at HR Gurus, and I was actually HR Gurus’ first employee. Before joining the business, I came from retail leadership and operations, managing large teams across multiple sites. That experience taught me very quickly that people problems rarely arrive neatly packaged — and that HR advice has to work in the real world, not just on paper. More than 10 years later, I’m still here, working alongside Emily to lead HR Gurus, support our clients and help our team navigate the tricky stuff.
Over my 20+ year career, I’ve worked across leadership, culture, performance, industrial relations and Fair Work matters. I’m known around here as the calmer of storms — when things get messy, emotional or high-stakes, I’m usually the person helping cut through the noise and work out what happens next.
My biggest belief?
Good HR should make leaders more capable, not more dependent on HR support.
