Hi, I’m Jennifer.
I’m an HR Consultant at HR Gurus, with more than 20 years of experience across HR, People & Culture, change management and business operations.
I started my career with Australia Post before moving into HR, and since then I’ve worked as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, People & Culture Manager, HR Strategist and Consultant across a broad mix of businesses and industries.
A big part of my career has been stepping into growing businesses and building their HR function from the ground up. I’ve held several greenfield HR Manager roles where I’ve created the systems, processes and people frameworks businesses need as they grow – without burying everyone in unnecessary HR bureaucracy.
For almost a decade, I’ve also run my own HR consulting practice, working directly with business owners and leaders to build fit-for-purpose people and performance frameworks and helping them navigate the people issues that come with running a business.
I’m practical, commercial and big on making HR actually work in the real world. Whether it’s a tricky employee matter, performance issue, organisational change or simply putting better foundations in place, I like cutting through the BS and giving leaders a clear way forward.
I’ve even spent time teaching the Diploma of Human Resource Management, so I suppose you could say I don’t just do HR – I’ve taught other people how to do it too.
